Funny Story So, it is just another monday at my job. I'm working with Andi from 6pm - 10pm. Work is pretty slow. So, we are just sitting around surfing on computers. Andi is on the student employee computer and I am risking it by being on my boss's computer. No one is allowed on my boss's computer, but she left hours before and wouldn't be back till morning. Also, I'm not really logged in under my boss. I'm logged in as a student, so I can't really mess up any of my boss's files or anything... so I figure no big deal.Well, my boss calls asking if she left something in the back room. I go check and let her know that its not there. "bye" she hangs up the phone. I let Andi know that Judy, our boss, called about missing something. "weird," was Andi's reply. Our boss is weird. Let me give you a little discription. Picture the stereotypical crazy and creep "cat lady"... seriously, she has pictures of cats all over the place. She is fifty to sixty something and hunched over. She isn't married and still lives with her parent, who have to pick her up from work. She mumbles when she talks and talks to whoever is around whether or not they are listening... and she complains about everything... from her back or feet to someone asking for time off. Oh well, it is also rumored that she takes a week off every year to attend a Star Trek convention. So, that's my boss. Anyway, Andi and I are "working" and our good friend mike stopped in for a chat as he does most Monday nights. After a little bit, he asks to use the internet... so we let him come behind the desk and use the employee computer. I play some nice music from Judy's computer. It is nice and relaxing... I am working on a website design. All of the sudden... out of no where... this hunch backed grumpy lady walks through the door, behind the desk, and to the back room; Judy. Mike looks at me with huge scared eyes. I motion for him to scram... and he promptly jumps over the desk and out of the room. I don't move because I figure I'm busted already might as well keep from looking more suspicious. Judy returns to the front room, huffing and puffing, I'm not sure if it is from walking around or if it is out of anger (because sometimes she huffs and puffs when things aren't going her way). Judy looks around and leaves without saying a word. Andi and I look at eaach other with terror. "Did that just happen?," I ask. Andi shrugs speechlessly. We are still worried that she might return. But Mike being behind the desk was our biggest problem, so we aren't too worried. Mike returns to the room. "She chased me!," "what!" "I was just walking down the hallway and she was following me, so I cut down the stairs to the first floor and she followed me... she followed me nearly out of the building, but she stopped to talk to the janitor." Mike tells us with a frightened look on his face. "Is is possible that she was just looking for the janitor and happened to take the same path you took? She was here looking for something after all." I try to reason. Mike looks at me. "Yeah, That's probably it," Mike decides to take off and farewells all around. "I don't want to come to work tomorrow," Andi starts in after mike leaves. "I have to come in and face Judy at noon. I don't want to lose my job." I look at her and shrug. "I doubt it will come to that." I retort optomistically. We then discuss what we should tell her if she asks about the incident. "Well, maybe we could act like mike wasn't here. If she asks... we'll act like she is crazy and not know what she is taking about." I suggested. Andi laughed, but ultimatly we decided to tell the truth. So, the next day rolls around. Andi goes to work and comes back after her shift is done. "she didn't say anything... she didn't even glare or anything... she just acted like normal." Andi tells me after she gets back from work. I don't know what to make of this...Well to try and shorten a long story... I was at work today and Judy said nothing about monday. The point is... that's really weird and I have a really weird boss.
