An Apple a Day....... Timeline Ok, so, My ipod died.... it did it about two weeks ago. I noticed it wasn't working properly. I was all bummed out and Jeff was like "Well, you should talk to Apple about it and see if they'll fix it." I didn't think I could do that seeing as I got mine for free and didn't purchase any sort of warrenty. I looked into it anyway and figured out that ipods come with a year warrenty from the date that it is registered. Sweet, so I went to the Apple website and looked at what I needed to do. They kept telling me to reformat the ipod and this and that... and I had already tried that stuff, so, then I found the repair form... this is where it gets crazy cool. Apple has probably the best customer service/ repair service in the world. Check out this time line: Jan 29 9:30PM - I fill out an online form telling Apple about about my problem. Jan 29 9:45PM - They send me an email telling me what the problem sounds like and letting me know that they are sending a box for me to ship my ipod back to them in. Jan 31 11:ishAM - I get the box and put my ipod in it. The instructions tell me to drop the box off at a DHL location or call them to have them pick it up. I decided to figure that out later. Jan 31 5:30PM - I have a second so I decide to call DHL. The lady asks me if they can still pick it up that night. I'm like "Heck yes you can!!!" They pick it up around 7ish Feb 01 - Apple recieves my product. Feb 02 - Apple figures out the problem, decides they need to send me a replacement, and ship me one with in the same day. Feb 03 - From the DHL Tracking number... it looks like I'll be getting my ipod today. Holy Moley, that is amazing. The whole process took six days from when I submitted the form to when I will recieve the package. That is so awesome and fantastic... I needed to share it with the world and let everyone know that Apple officially rocks. (Click on the picture or here to see Apple's official repair status.) Also, on a sort of persuade-you-to-love-Apple-and-hate-competitor-side note.
